The Web of Wyrd, or simply the Web of Life, is the underlying construct for all there is. The Web of Life is the fundamental sacred geometry for everything, and it also forms the shapes used in ancient and often sacred languages such as the runes. The rune glyphs are actually based on the Web of Life geometry.
As discussed in my older blog post, The Ancient Origins of Runes and Tarot, the magic in runes is much older than it is generally thought. As I have mentioned in that blog entry, the sacred knowledge contained within the runes originates from Atlantean times or even well before that. This knowledge was passed to Egyptian mystery schools after the destruction of Atlantis and later on to Europe. The runes represent the keys to the Secrets of the Universe.
Let us start our journey from the creation story written in the Bible, as it is very much connected to this story. A while ago, I learned the most fascinating small detail about the Hebrew version of Genesis 1:1. This version contains two letters ignored in all other translations: aleph and tav (את) before the words “the heavens and the earth”.
בְּרֵאשִׁית בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים אֵת הַשָּׁמַיִם וְא הָאָרֶץ
It is known in Cabalistic literature that the letters of the Alphabet were created before anything else. This is the hidden, or spiritual, meaning of Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created aleph tav the heavens and the earth”- that is, God’s first act was to create the letters from aleph (א) to tav (ת), meaning the Word of God (or the sacred Alphabet or the Web of life) from which heavens and earth were created from.
Interestingly the opening chapter of the Gospel of John (John 1:1) also reads:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The Bible contains several references to Alpha and Omega (the Greek reference to the Alphabet) in connection with Jeshua (Jesus). We can see one reference in Revelation 1:8:
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, who is and was and is to come—the Almighty.
So, in the beginning, was the Word. What does this mean? It means that the Word of God is the fundamental Web of Life, the structure of the Universe. It is the frequency, the original song of the creation, the thought of love that contains all possibilities.
So when the Almighty created the Universe, he made it as a thought or Word. Like the scientific string theory, the Word can be seen as vibrational frequencies that hold up everything. Everything is created from these building blocks (like letters in the Alphabet – just rather more complex).
The Word can be seen as a Sacred Geometry, such as the Flower of Life or the Web of Life. Interestingly they both are the same or very similar geometrical structure. The tree of life in Kabbalah also conforms to the same geometry.

So, in the beginning, the Almighty created the Word, a pattern similar to the flower of life; from this pattern, everything emerges. Each rune or any letter of any sacred alphabet resonates with the Web of Life. Here is an example of the Gar rune superimposed on the Flower of Life geometry:

The Full Web of Life matches the Flower of Life – the Wyrd geometry is only a partial form of the Web of Life. When we fill in all the geometry, we get the following:

The Celtic Knots also fit into the same sacred geometry. The aspect ratios do not always match, but that’s a question of stretching the geometry as the Universe is constantly moving. The above diagram is just a principle and does not reflect the actual pattern as they are alive and multidimensional, but it creates a good resonance which is the key.
Speaking of which: everything we say or do resonates and is recorded in the Web of Life. Web of Life is also the Akashic records. This obviously relates to Karma. As Galatians 6:7 says:
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
So what we do is recorded in the Web of Life, and this web then forms our destiny in our current and future lives. Everything constantly stems from the Web of Life. This can also be seen as the Wheel of Life or Karma. We remain in the Wheel of Life until we are awakened to the Law of One or the Light of Christ and realise that everything is one. At that point, the grace of God releases us from the Wheel of Life, and we no longer need to receive a body as we have then graduated.
The runes (and Tarot cards and other mystery school teachings) allow us to inspect where we are on the Wheel of Life. Each rune vibrates a particular aspect of the Web of Life and enables us to receive information about our life’s current status and heal the past. We can also inspect the future possibilities and accelerate our journey back home if we understand the teaching.
In Norse mythology, three females called the Norns are responsible for shaping lives out of the past. Their names are Urðr (Wyrd), ‘that which has become – meaning the past’, Verðandi ‘that which is in the process of becoming – meaning the now’ and Skuld (Should), ‘that which should necessarily be – meaning the future, potential’.
As we weave the Web of Life, we are on our journey back home, returning to the Creator Consciousness. The seeker will remain on the Wheel of Life (Samsara) from lifetime to lifetime until the liberation is achieved. This is the true purpose of life and ancient knowledge through the various mystery schools from Atlantis and beyond. The original pyramid builders knew this ancient knowledge, and we are now re-discovering that information through multiple sources.
